About HKUD Komušina
Every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together.
Croatian Cultural and Artistic Society Komušina Škofja Loka was founded in 1993. The Society was founded by members who found shelter in Slovenia as a result of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Society represents a voluntary, humanitarian and non-profit minority organization whose main objective is the preservation of cultural heritage of Komušina region in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Activities of the Society are characterized by cultural and artistic events and projects, sports events, networking of minority members, collaboration with other minority associations, awareness raising activities, developing intercultural dialogue and intercultural activities, promotion of minority rights, especially social exclusion, humanitarian activities and other activities in the field of civil society. The Association strives to work closely both with other non-governmental organizations as well as with all relevant stakeholders at the local, national and international level.
